Korean Popcorn Chicken 🍿🐔 Ingredients Chicken: • 1.1 lb (500 g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces • 1 egg • ½ tsp salt • ½ tsp black pepper • 1 tsp garlic powder • ½ tsp ginger powder • ½ tsp chicken bouillon • 5 tbsp cornstarch • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour Sauce: • 1.5 tbsp butter • 2 garlic cloves, minced • 1.5 tbsp gochujang • 3 tbsp ketchup • 1 tbsp soy sauce • 2 tbsp light brown sugar • 1 tbsp honey • 2 tsp rice vinegar • 1 tsp sesame oil Garnish: • Toasted sesame seeds • Sliced green onions Instructions: 1. Season the chicken with the egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, and chicken bouillon. Mix well and let rest for 10 minutes. 2. Add the cornstarch and flour, then toss until evenly coated. 3. Fry at 320–330°F (160–165°C) until cooked through. Let rest for 2–3 minutes. 4. Fry again at 355°F (180°C) until golden and crispy. 5. Melt the butter and saute the garlic until fragrant. 6. Add the gochujang, ketchup, soy sauce, light brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Cook until glossy. 7.
