You know what the funniest thing about Shibas is? They don’t care about size. Not their size. Not your size. Doberman, German Shepherd, Chihuahua, horse. Same category. Just “thing in the environment.” Every time Pepe plays with big dogs someone says it: “Wow he’s so small.” “Careful, those dogs play really rough.” And I’m always like... careful you. Because Pepe is not scared. Pepe is standing there with that completely unhinged Shiba face that says: Go ahead. Make a mistake. And the funniest part is that the same attitude applies to literally everything. Dogs bigger than him. Dogs smaller than him. Animals that weigh 1,200 pounds. I have watched this dog walk up to horses, sit down next to them, and just stare into the distance like they’re two men discussing something serious. Not barking. Not impressed. Not remotely concerned that the thing next to him could end his entire career with one accidental step. Absolute peace. Because in his mind the situation is very simple: If you behave, we’re fine. If you annoy me, we fight. Shibas do not see big dogs and small dogs. They see potential problems. That’s not a dog.
