ENGENHARIA DOS PNEUS | EPISÓDIO 02 Quem sustenta a carga: o pneu ou o ar? A resposta pode surpreender muita gente: quem sustenta a maior parte da carga é o ar pressurizado dentro do pneu. A carcaça, os talões, as cintas e a estrutura do pneu são fundamentais para manter a forma, resistir aos esforços e transferir forças ao solo. Mas é a pressão interna que permite ao pneu suportar corretamente o peso do veículo e da carga transportada. Quando a pressão está correta, o pneu trabalha dentro da sua faixa ideal de deformação. Isso significa melhor distribuição de carga, menor aquecimento, desgaste mais uniforme, maior estabilidade e melhor aproveitamento da carcaça. Quando a pressão está abaixo do recomendado, o pneu deforma além do ideal.
