In about 4–5 billion years, the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will begin their long gravitational dance toward each other. Andromeda is currently about 2.5 million light-years away and is moving toward us at roughly 110 km per second. 🌌 Despite being called a “collision,” this won’t be a crash like solid objects. Space is so vast that most stars will pass by each other without actually hitting. Instead, gravity will stretch both galaxies into long tidal streams, slowly reshaping them over time. After the first close pass (around 4–5 billion years from now), both galaxies will swing apart again—only to return for another pass later. Eventually, they’ll fully merge into a single giant galaxy, often nicknamed “Milkomeda” or “Milkdromeda”. 🌀 Our Sun will still likely exist at that time, but it will already have evolved into a red giant in about 5 billion years, meaning Earth as we know it probably won’t be around to witness it. ☀️ What’s coming isn’t destruction in an instant—but a slow cosmic transformation written across billions of years, where two galaxies become one. 🌠🚀 👉Follow us for brain feeding space videos. #milkyway #andromeda #galaxy #collision #space

A multiplier needs two things: a trustworthy publish date and a duration. At least one is missing on this record (on Instagram the publish date is often just the collection time) — so we are not making a multiplier up.
Why this video worked
Every line below is computed from this video’s own numbers. No guesses, no filler.
No standout signal could be computed for this one. The raw numbers are below — those are always real.
The numbers
All of it comes from the API. If a value is missing you see a dash — nothing is estimated in its place.

Only a small share of the videos in our pool have more than one real measurement. This one was measured once (or always at the same value) — rather than drawing a meaningless flat line, we say so.
