Real Madrid’s Bernabéu rebuild began in 2019 and, while matches continued, delivered a new steel skin, retractable roof and high-tech event infrastructure, with the stadium reopening in late 2023 and works wrapping in 2024. Barcelona’s Camp Nou project started after the final 2023 match and remains under construction: Barça moved to Montjuïc and returned only partially in November 2025 with reduced capacity, while full completion is now projected for 2027.
